We all know what having a positive attitude is, but what does it mean to have a positive “timeless” attitude?
It’s a way of being where time doesn’t affect you negatively. A positive timeless attitude is a perspective where time is seen as a friend instead of a foe. It’s a knowledge that you are always in the right place at the right time.
It’s behaving where you have all the time in the world to do the things you need in comparison to feeling like time is running out for you. It’s a confident existence where you feel it’s never too late to start doing the things you want.
When you are immersed in this timeless way of being, it seems that time expands for you. For example, where a normal person may take 2 months to do something — you are able to do it in 2 weeks. Think of this idea as being “in the zone.” When you believe time expands for you, you also become less stressed and are able to enjoy being in the moment.
You’re probably thinking, “this is cool beans Jeanne, but how do I get this positive timeless attitude going?”
I only have one answer and that is you must decide for yourself that this is your reality.
Reality is defined by what we perceive to be real, so perceive that time for you is this supportive, infinite, and expandable thing and it will be so.
When making a decision in life — when we have to choose between one thing or another — that process becomes easier when one of the choices is something we know will bring more goodness, happiness, and abundance in our lives. Am I right or am I right? Hopefully, you will always choose to bring more of the good stuff in your life! (If you’re not, girrrrrl we gotta talk!)
Choose to have a positive timeless attitude and bring about the kind of life you’ve always dreamed.
Imagine when you believe time supports your endeavors; where time is on your side. What could you accomplish?
Because I want you to start incorporating this way of being immediately — as there is no better time than the present — here are some exercises to help you foster a positive timeless attitude.
1. Set the clocks in your home 10 minutes faster than your cell-phone or car clock.
Doing this will help you leave your home for work or appointments on time because even when you know that the clock time in your home is fast, the technique helps you to stay aware of the time and thus more likely to run on time.
2. Have a supportive mantra.
Say to yourself a few times a day, “I have all the time in the world.” Then go about your business.
3. Use a timer to accomplish things you might normally procrastinate on.
Tell yourself, I will do such and such (fold the clothes, research the paper, read a book…) for just 5 minutes. Anybody can do anything for 5 minutes. You will find that those “five minutes” start to add up and sometimes you may even decide to go for longer!
These exercises are just the tip of the iceberg of this lifestyle. When you truly adopt this timeless way of being as a core belief — that’s when the magic starts to happen.
Once I saw time in this way, my life, health, and productivity sky-rocketed. I became less stressed, more easy-going, and hopeful. I began to enjoy a peace of mind that was so relieving — a feeling that I could finally breathe and relax — because I realized I had the all the time I needed to get whatever done. (Whew!)
Ultimately, I came to understand that possessing a positive timeless attitude is what gave me the freedom to go for the things I wanted in life. I wonder what it will do for you? 😉
