10 Step System to Do a Lymphatic Flush Facial Massage for Health & Beauty Video

Today I am here to share with you how I do a lymphatic facial flush on myself, where I learned it, why you too should be doing this light self-massage, and how it can help you be healthier and look more youthful.

10 Step Lymphatic Flush Facial Self-Massage:

  1.  Wash your hands and face. Apply a creamy moisturizer. I use olive oil or coconut oil.
  2. With the gentleness you would use with touching a new babies skin begin with light tapping on the forehead, right above the eye brows. Use your 3 long fingers of each hand mowing across the eyebrow ridge for 10 seconds.
  3. Follow with light tapping underneath the eye area, right above the cheek bones for 10 seconds
  4. Using your ring and middle finger, begin in the center of your eyebrows and gently slide fingers outward, tracing above your eyebrows to the temple area. Repeat 10x.
  5. Using your ring finger, gently tap with an outward motion starting where you eyes meet you nose then out to your temple area for 10 seconds.
  6. Create a peace sign with your first and middle finger and gently caress in a downward motion the skin around the ear and throat area.
  7. With arms crossed, use the your ring and middle finger to massage the chin and lower jaw area. Slide fingers to the outside of the jaw area for 10x.
  8. With arms crossed, use your 3 long fingers and gently caress in downward motion the sides of your throat 10x.
  9. With you arms crossed, using you ring and middle finger, gently caress your collar-bone in an outward motion towards your shoulders.
  10. Repeat massage 2x

Drink plenty of water after you do the massage to aid your body in removing waste, toxins, and excess water.

Now you know how to do the facial lymphatic massage let me tell you where I learned this technique and the top 3 reasons why you should be doing it.

I started getting facials in my early twenties to support healthy skin. I have gone to the same person for almost 20 years. Her name is Mitchiko Hata and if you are ever in San Francisco you should look her up. With full endorsement from me and my friends who use her, she is the best of the best.

At first, I thought it was some machine she used to massage my face, but come to find out it was her gentle and dare I say, magical hands. Because I liked the effects so much I decided to do some internet research and see if I could replicate her system.

Of course YouTube offered some of the best information on this and a long with my experience  of Mitchiko’s magical hands, I joined them to create this simple step-by-step

3 reasons to do facial massaging:

1. It helps to remove toxins and keep your cells healthy.

The lymph system is part of the body’s natural defense system. Through self massage you can aid your lymph system to deliver nutrients to your cells and carry away cellular waste, bacteria, and toxins.

2. It helps to keep you from looking puffy.

The lymph system carries excess water away. Through daily massage you can encourage this and reveal a less swollen-looking appearance.

In fact, a full-body lymphatic massage can aid in all types of swelling from surgery, injury recovery, to fatigue. In cases such as these it’s best to see an experienced massage specialist.

3. It promotes an ageless appearance by invigorating the skin, tissues, and nerves around your face.

Just like a full body massage helps to relieve stress in the body, gentle caressing of the face muscles will smooth away stress and fatigue awakening a more vibrant you. As well, self-massage makes you feel good, contributing to a positive self-image.

When is the best time to do facial massaging?

I like to do my facial massaging after I wash my face in the evening because I can take my time. I do it in the morning if I have an important event to go to and I definitely do it when I feel mucussy. (Is that a word? It should be because we’ve all been there!) Lymphatic facial massage really helps to drain the fluids that can build up in your sinus area due to cold or allergies.

Times to do the massage:

  • Whenever you feel tired.
  • Whenever you want to look less puffy.
  • Whenever you want to do something nice for yourself.
  • When you want some mucus relief from allergies or a cold.

Don’t forget to be super gentle! Feather light touching!

How to Look Youthful; My Personal Anti-Aging Beauty Regiment Video

Today I will be sharing my personal ageless beauty skin care regiment.

I will tell you my morning, afternoon, and evening routine to achieve an ageless appearance.

Quickly, I’m 40+ and I’ve been in the health & fitness industry for over 12 years. In that time I have helped hundreds of people get healthy.  Through my experience I’ve also discovered ways that have kept me and my clients looking and feeling youthful.  Hopefully, you guys can use this information too.

In the Morning

  • I exfoliate my face with brown sugar and olive oil.

Why exfoliate?

1. Exfoliating aids your skin cycle.

It takes between 14-30 days for new skin cells to reach the surface layer, by exfoliating you may help the cycle be more efficient.

Everyone’s skin renewal cycle is slightly different. Your cycle can be influenced by your age, overall health condition, lifestyle, and exposure to sunlight.

2. It removes dead skin.

People don’t realize that many times it’s not just dirt and pollutants that clog your pores. It’s also your own dead skin cells.  Clogged pores can lead to skin irritation, blemishes, and acne.

3. It aids in keeping surface skin soft and supple.

Exfoliation will help diminish dry patches and wrinkles by removing dead skin and revealing newer skin.

Next, with my face slightly damp I put more olive-oil to lock-in moisture and create the dewy look that youthful skin is known for.

Why olive oil?

1. It’s natural.

I don’t need to worry about parabens, sulfates, or any other unnecessary ingredients that can cause dryness and irritation to my face.

2. It’s antioxidant rich.

One thought to cause aging is the free radicals theory. Free radicals are particles that can damage our cells. We naturally create free radicals within our body and more so if you’re active.  Antioxidants help fight free radicals.

3. It’s inexpensive.

The only caveat is that when you are choosing an olive oil to use, make sure you buy olive oil that is “olive-oil” and approved by the International Olive-oil Council – a commission that regulates extra virgin olive-oil standards.

A study done by the University of Davis revealed that many national brands failed to meet international standards for extra virgin olive oil. Basically if it’s not olive oil you’re putting on your face, body, or for that matter cooking with, then you’re not getting the benefits of olive oil.

In the Afternoon

  • If I workout, I will generally wash my face and reapply my makeup. Using olive-oil as my moisturizer.
  • If I don’t wash my face, I will freshen-up the skin around my eyes with an under-eye treatment.

The skin around your eyes is thinner and more susceptible to dryness and wrinkles so it is to your benefit to pay close attention to this area. Use a natural eye cream that won’t smudge your makeup.

Gently pat the cream underneath the eyes and quickly see the skin rejuvenated.

In the evening

  • I remove my make-up with olive-oil. Then wash my face with a natural gentle cleanser.
  • Next I will either apply just olive-oil to my skin or I may add vitamin C powder to the olive-oil. Vitamin C is another anti-aging nutrient good for the body both inside and out.
  • Periodically, to look youthful I also do facial massaging, stay tuned for this video!

What is Earthing Video and How Can it Help You Stay Youthful

Earthing is another word for “grounding” which means to connect back to Earth. At first glance, this may seem like new-age mumbo-jumbo, but give it a chance and you’ll see how not only  is the method grounded in science, it also has numerous benefits for the human body.

You are made of trillions of cells. Within each cell are electrons and energy potential. Every physiological process in the body is mediated by electrons from vitamin synthesis to muscle contraction. The human body cannot exist without this electric potential.

But, the human body can become electron deficient.

Briefly, all objects, including humans have a positive and negative charge. The electric charge may change due to contact, proximity, and rubbing. For example when you are zapped with electric static.

When you experience electric static, that is you discharging the positive charge built up in your body. As electric charge can never be destroyed, you can view the discharging of  electric charge  as an exchange of charge between two objects that come in contact or rub next to each other. Per the example, you exchanged charges with whatever you came in contact with.

When you are living above Earth, meaning you are not touching the ground or you may have barriers between you and the Earth, you are positively charged. When you are connected to the Earth, meaning there are no barriers between you and the Earth, you become negatively charged.

Positively charged people have electrons removed and are then electron deficient.

When you are electron deficient you are susceptible to inflammation and disease.

The more distance there is between you and the Earth, the greater the charge on your body. In fact, this has been precisely calculated. For every meter you are above the ground, 300 volts of charge will build up in your body. (See The Feynman Lectures on Physics)

Why do you need to practice earthing?

Due to the disconnection between you and the Earth (any amount of space from your bare-feet to the Earth, from 1 inch to 40 floors up a building, and beyond) you are likely to be electron deficient.

The added Electric Magnetic Fields (EMF) from computers, house-hold appliances, and all manner of electric gadgets and wires are also contributing to your positive charged state and electron deficiency.

Even in sleep, we are bombarded by EMF’s coming through the walls from the electrical wiring of our homes.

You want to negate the effects of electron deficiency, which is mainly inflammation. Think of inflammation as food to disease. The more inflammation your body has, the more food it can give to any disease that wants to appear in your body.

You want to practice earthing so that your body is in a balanced state of electric charge. You want to practice earthing so that your body is not a food carrier (inflammation) for disease.

The Earth is the natural antidote for electron deficiency and can provide you with an infinite flow of electrons through grounding, also known as “Earthing.”

How are you disconnected?

You are disconnected by default because you are not walking around barefoot on the Earth everyday.  This was not always the case. Man use to walk barefoot on Earth and so he was always grounding and negatively charged.

But with  modern convenience such as shoes, homes, and high-rises, we rarely find our body and bare feet touching Earths soil.

How to become negatively charged and  how to do earthing?

earthing

The simplest and most effective way to practice earthing is to walk barefoot on the beach or grass. It is even better to walk with the ocean water touching your feet or when the grass is wet as water is a natural conductor.

That’s it. The Earth will do the rest of the work. The electrons from the Earth will flow through you until your body is fully discharged, i.e. when your body is equalized with the Earth. There is also no possible way to “get too much” electrons from the Earth. (Just in case you were wondering.)

It is recommend to do earthing everyday, but with our modern lives that would be quite difficult. Another way to achieve the same effect is to use “earthing” sheets, mats, and patches as displayed in the video. I personally use earthing flip-flops. They are perfect for my daily walks with my dogs in the park!

What are the benefits of earthing?

  • Decrease inflammation in the body
  • Improve cell hydration and activity
  • Improve blood flow
  • Prevent chronic diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and many other illnesses
  • Decrease stress on the body
  • Improve immune system
  • Decrease effects of Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS)
  • Pain reduction
  • Anti-aging effects

How does earthing help you stay youthful?

Earthing helps you stay youthful by improving the body functions of the body. As earthing improves the physiological functions of the body including cell health, blood flow, and our over-all immune-system, this aids in slowing down the aging process as our body systems don’t have to work as hard. It’s a well known fact, over-worked body systems age faster, break down, and are susceptible to disease.

Earthing may also help prevent aging through the destruction of free radicals. It is thought that aging occurs by the accumulation of free radicals within the body. Antioxidant electrons from the Earth will help eliminate these free radicals.

Lastly, the act of walking on the beach, on the grass, and being close to nature has numerous positive effects on the mind, body, and spirit. For most people, these activities promote relaxation, peace, and joy. These types of feelings not only contribute to a youthful lifestyle, but also helps to reduce mental and physical stress.

Stress is probably the number one cause of premature aging.  From worry wrinkles on your face, breakouts, and hair loss, chronic stress has a host of ways to make you look older than you are. Also, people who suffer from chronic stress have body systems that work harder, suffer from fatigue, insomnia, a weakened immune system, and are more susceptible to chronic pain and disease.

Through the relaxing, peaceful, and joyful act of earthing, you will become less stressed which will help you attain a more ageless appearance and further improve the total well-being of your body.

Don’t Grow Old Documentary by the BBC

I found this well done documentary called “Don’t Grow Old” from the BBC about what the scientific community is doing about the aging process. If you have an hour or so, the documentary has interesting anti-aging information.

As I gather various anti-aging information for the articles I’m writing, I’m finding a plethora of ways to go about being ageless. Some people want to take a pill, some will go under a knife, others will become vegan or raw food enthusiasts, while others will  try to control their minds to prevent them from aging. With all these different paths to achieving eternal youth, the scientists, researchers, and youth-centric individuals all agree on one thing — aging can be slowed down.

As an ageless lifestyle advocate, I propose no pills or knives, lots of vegetables—some of them raw—and of course we have to work with the mind because the mind is our most powerful ally. These are just some of the ideas I want to share with people who want to stay ageless using a holistic approach.

But, I don’t think one needs a pill. A pill—I might add—that will not be developed for another decade, if that. Who wants to be the guinea pig for a product that has only been tested on  lab rats and / or with limited human study?

I believe the knowledge and power to be ageless is in our grasp now.

I believe it to be a holistic approach with its root in spirituality and health-conscious living.

To have physical and mental youthfulness—it must be a mind, body, and spirit effort.

I have discovered the fountain of youth, at least for myself. Although, I do not believe the knowledge that I have amassed and the results I have achieved are uniquely special to me.

I believe my holistic practices will also work for many of you.

I want to share this knowledge and that’s why I created this blog!

Imagine, a way to be youthful in mind, body, and spirit NOW.
