Do you want more meaning in your life?

Do you want more balance, inner-peace, and joyfulness in your everyday life?

If so, then strengthen your spiritual practice and fulfill this longing.

By definition spirituality is about revering the human spirit which everyone can relate to. You can strengthen your sense of spirituality by building a deeper connection with this part of you. Your spirit is your innate essence. You can deem this to be your soul or the profound feature of your character.

One way to build a stronger union to your spirit is to increase the level of trust and understanding in your life. When you are able to trust more, you can rely on yourself more. When you are self-reliant, your confidence rises and your ability to attain balance, inner-peace, and happiness is more assured.

Here are my 10 big ideas to strengthen your spirituality by nurturing your ability to trust.

1. Trust that there is a universal plan.

The universal plan I speak of has nothing to do with fate or divine prophecy. In fact, a universal plan is just something that is meant to work across the board. This plan I speak of is how the universe runs itself – the cosmos natural behavior.

The way the universe conducts itself is the universal plan. It’s a way of being that is as true for the cosmos, Earth, and you. The universe has one purpose, one design, and that is to grow and expand.

The universe has followed this plan of growth and expansion since its inception. Will this development be unending? I do not know, but after 13 billion years it’s still going strong. So why not trust that the universe knows what it’s doing?

If we equate 10,000 hours of time spent doing something as becoming a master of it, then the universe hands down is the bomb-diggidy, master without compare at growth and expansion.

How does this relate to your seemingly incomparable existence?

Well, you are simply a replica, a mini-version of the universe. You are made of the same stuff as the stars and therefore follow its same design. Trust that you are here to grow and expand.

 2. Trust that you are like every other living thing in nature.

From plants, birds, elephants, and dolphins – we are all made from stardust.

This is not spiritual mumbo-jumbo. This is irrefutable science.

“We are a way for the universe to know itself. Some part of our being knows this is where we came from. We long to return. And we can, because the cosmos is also within us. We’re made of star stuff,” Carl Sagan

We are made of the same elements of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen atoms, among other things, and thus a scientific standpoint would conclude that we are all connected.

A spiritual perspective would surmise that we are all one. Trust then in this truth, that you are connected in the most profound way. That your core essence – what makes you exist — also persists in every other living thing.

3. Trust that nature has a natural order.

This natural order is followed by all living things. That order is most exemplified in the process we call life and death.

We are conceived, we are born, we live, and then we die. This process is mimicked in some way by every living thing.

But even when anything dies, is it truly over? The answer is no.

As nature is the master of recycling, trust that all living things will live on. To have this view — that nothing ever ends — is a gift and an intense spiritual understanding.

4. Trust that you will always be provided for.

Just like a bird will find all the twigs and twine it needs to make her nest, a mother bear finds fish to feed her young, so will you find all you need to sustain your life.

For billions of years the universe has provided the necessary elements to build the universe such as it is. For millions of years the Earth has provided for the needs of every inhabitant no matter its shape or size so it can flourish. For thousands of years man has found a way to provide for itself using what nature supplies. Who’s to question that this abundant process will ever end?

We know that all things never end – that life will go on and on. Although it may not be how we wish.

For example the Earth will continue to be no matter what we humans do to it. With all our might, we can try to ruin it, but she will always prevail. From plants, animals, and humans whether they are recycled or evolve into a new version of themselves – the Earth will be here to provide for whatever inhabitants are left so they can thrive.

Therefore trust this belief – that you will always be provided for – for while you exist, you are among the beneficiaries of the universe and the Earths abundant generosity.

5. Trust the power of love.

“Without love, our earth is a tomb.” Robert Browning

A sobering thought in deed. Therefore, thank goodness we can witness, participate, cause, and effect the glorious thing we call love.

Through our thoughts and actions we can ensure that love is always around us. Love can be infused in everything we do from cooking to emailing. There is no task unworthy of a little love.

When we introduce our daily responsibilities with a dose of love, the significance of everything we do becomes crystal clear. The message is deep. And that is, trust that you always have the power to bring forth love.

6. Trust in the goodness of others.

If you canvass your family, friends, and circle of influence, you will conclude you mostly know good people. Of course there are exceptions, but in general we make friends and choose to ally ourselves with people with the same interest and disposition.

Most folks want to feel good and be happy so they search out people and things that will bring about those situations. The more we are able to have positive circumstances in our lives, the more we become content.

We can further our feelings of fulfillment by seeking the goodness in others. When we see the positive light within another, we can acknowledge it, show our support, and align our light with it so that all ‘goodness’ is amplified.

This way of thinking – to lift each other up – instead of dimming each other down is the new plight of the modern spiritual individual. Forgoing competition for collaboration in order to procure a brighter future for all involved and not just for a very select few.

Trusting in the goodness of others is certainly an act of faith, but since we have determined that we generally will connect with people we deem good, to trust them is to trust our own judgment.

7. Trust your instincts.

Every animal has a set of instincts. A sense of awareness built in so that an animal can classify its surroundings, keep itself safe, distinguish what foods to eat, know where to seek shelter, how to build a home, birth and raise a baby, to name just a few.

Our instinct, also known as our intuition, or gut feeling can be just as helpful to us if we hone it and trust it. You can sharpen your instincts by simply using it more often, practicing awareness, and giving it competency tests. Test your intuition by providing it opportunities to give you information – feedback as to how you should proceed in a given situation.

For example, when you are confused as to what you should eat when you’re looking upon an extensive menu. Take a breath, and ask yourself, ‘Body, what food would make you feel good, satisfied, and nourished?’ Then listen to the gut feeling you get and order the dish. Observe your reaction to the meal – did your body steer you correctly?

When you actively listen to your instinct, at the precise moment you receive those gut feelings, you are becoming more conscious of your present state which is a spiritual act. You are trusting the moment, the process, and your own natural instinct.

8. Trust in the chaos.

Life can be crazy, cruel, and incomprehensible. Life can be quite good, pleasing, and clear.

Life is all these things at the same time. By this description, life is chaotic.

For centuries we have heard the saying – out of chaos comes order. This motto has stood the test of time because it has been found to be true. From the messy, confusing, and frenzied goings-on of life, we get clarity.

We see things we may not have seen before. We gain strength where we were once weak. Our understanding improves.

Trust then that in the chaos of your life you will find the answers you need. You will find the strength to overcome. You will gain insight to bring you happiness. You will uncover love and compassion from depths you did not know existed within you.

9. Trust that everything is possible.

There are many interesting theories is quantum physics. Two that allude to this assertion is that one, before the outcome is observed, every possibility is possible. The other, is that every possibility is playing out in alternate universes. So whichever way you look at it – everything is possible in some way!

How do these quantum phenomenons affect our spiritual state? It gives us hope. These quantum marvels shed light that all possibilities are open to us.

Granted, alternate realities is a huge idea to wrap our heads around, but if Stephen Hawking is on that boat – I’m buying a ticket! Trusting quantum physics is not just convenient, it’s downright genius.

10. Trust yourself.

Being spiritual is acknowledging your human spirit. It is believing and trusting yourself that you know what is true for you.

Learning to trust your thoughts, feelings, and actions is a lifelong endeavor. It is a spiritual journey. One that can provide you with the peace, love, and joy you long for.

Trust the information I have shared with you. These 10 ‘exercises’ on trust will indeed strengthen your spirituality.

Your spirituality will be based on an unwavering foundation of truth. That you are the manifestation of the universe. That you are part of a plan shared by everything you’re connected to. Where you have the power to affect change and make glorious anything you touch by your ability to love.

How to Be Youthful at Any Age – An en*theos Class

Have you ever come across people who seem to be ageless? Not only do they look like time has frozen for them, but they also give off that energy and vitality of someone in their youth or prime?

I’m sure you thought — I want a double-shot of what he or she is having!

People who exude youthfulness have a set of beliefs and habits that they perform to support and promote their ageless lifestyle.

We only need to mimic their techniques to reveal our own youthful sparkle. Lucky for you, I am here to share the “crib-sheet” of those age-defying systems. Watch the video to get more in depth or read below to get a glimpse of the 10 big ideas.

Here are my 10 Big Ideas on How to Be Youthful at Any Age:

 1. It’s All in the Mind

Upgrade your belief system to one that supports an ageless way of being. This means you have to chuck those thoughts of I am too ‘old, tired, lazy, unhealthy, unattractive, unworthy’ and all other limiting beliefs that stop you from living the youthful life you desire.

 2. Youthful People Play!

You can never be too old to play. You only think you can’t because you’re too worried about what other people will think of you.

Repeat after me, “It is none of my business what other people think of me. The people who are important and truly love me want me to be happy.  I am happy when I let the playful side of me out.”

To actually begin to be more youthful, you must play a little every day.

 3. “Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” – Albert Einstein

One tenet to remaining youthful is to never lose your imagination. When used wisely, your imagination is what keeps you positive, hopeful, and playful. Such attributes are the cornerstone of an ageless way of being.

 4. Spontaneity is the Spice of Life

We all get caught up in our life “to-do’s” and to tell you the truth, that’s a recipe for an unexceptional life. We all have to do what we need to do — take care of family, work, and our responsibilities — but we also need to be unpredictable, unguarded, and to do unexpected things so that we can discover joy in unexpected places.

 5.  Laugh Often and Laugh with Gusto!

The timeless Audrey Hepburn said, “I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it’s the thing I like the most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It’s probably the most important thing in a person. “

 6. There is a Fountain of Youth

“There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age.” – Sophia Loren

Sophia Loren, like Audrey Hepburn are icons of grace, beauty, and agelessness. Everything from their aura, attitude, and fashion style exuded a timeless way of being.

With this particular quote, Mrs. Sophia Loren recommends that to defeat aging, we must use our minds, talents, and creativity. Therefore a youthful existence is one where we stay involved, participate in life, and create things.

 7. Maintain Your Physical Prowess

Being youthful implies a lifestyle that is active and energetic. Look and feel young by staying loose, limber, strong, and toned.

8. Eat for Optimum Health and Energy

Food plays a large role in how we age. Certain foods promote vitality whereas others create inflammation and quicken the aging process. Learn what foods give you energy and which foods quicken the aging process and avoid the latter as best you can.

9. Ageless Beauty Tips

To stay looking youthful you need to find a skin-care system that works for your particular skin type. The 3 most important things to do for ageless skin health is to exfoliate, moisturize, and do preventative measures to stop the creation of wrinkles and fine lines.

10. “You are never too old to set another goal or dream a new dream.” C.S. Lewis

This is a true statement for everyone.

At any moment, you can change your thoughts, mood, and the direction with which your life is going.

No matter how old you are, if you want to stay enthusiastic, hopeful, and youthful– don’t stop dreaming. Your dreams is what will propel you to live an exceptional life. One way I have learned to make dreams into reality is to schedule the dream.
